This one was People’s Choice at the Muddy River Mashers Oktoberfest in 2010. It is on the dark side of amber — almost red. It has a great combination of bready, malt and citrus/spicy hop aroma. The caramel and toffee notes really are showcased in this beer as the crystal malts shine as I think they should in an amber. This is a mildly hoppy beer. Again, citrus and spicy notes come through in the flavor as well. It is a great combination of English and American ingredients for a well-rounded, smooth beer.
